this is something I wear everyday because I do not have a "real" haircut at the moment and leaving the hair open is NO option with a baby :)
I try (miserably) to create this but perhaps my hair is too long for it. It's the perfect effortless chic style!
Post photos when you master it! Would love to see!! xoxo
It seems that the secret is to have your hair a bit unfresh because if your hair is too clean, it won’t stay put..(that is what they say)
My sister can rock a messy bun! Some gals can really do it. I keep trying!
Thanks for the comments always! Off to enter your giveaway!

I just did this today.
Sure doesn't look as cute on me (as the photo:))
Sure I would wear it! Can't wait for my hair to get a bit longer so I can pull it off :)
Super cute, you will look great. I would try it but now I chopped my hair to my shoulders which was not in my plan but oh well, I wish it was long again!!! Look forward to trying this in a few months.
I can't wait for tomorrow!!! What a week. xo

super cute, I love the how-to in 6 steps :) btw, I think Parisians actually put a lot of efforts into looking effortless (le négligé étudié as we call it :) xx
I love this! I just have to wait a few more months for my hair to grow longer!
Oh, well a while until my hair is long enough for this...:)
But, it sure is adorable!
Tres cute:)
I always try to do this kind of look, but it always ends up looking too weird. I think you've inspired me to try one more time...
Love it... my hair is usually in a top knot but i'm def gonna try the messy high bun!

The girl in the last photo uses a homemade spray, made with one part sea salt, three parts water and a few spritzes of leave-in conditioner...
Her hair looks great!
Love these! Just wish I had more hair to make them work! So cool about the homemade spray. xo
I love the messy bun look! so casual and effortless but it looks great!

My hair is half way down my back now so a messy bun is usually what a pull off everyday! I blame Buffy the Vampire Slayer because she used to do this look, therefore I adopted it. hehe. =P
I am going to try this do this weekend, it looks easy enough
I love this hairstyle.
I wear it everyday when hair down won't do, don't know how perfect it is, just more of a get this hair outta face look!

sooo cute!! my best friend has been doing this for yearssss. we call it the "paige bun", but now it's in style! love it!
<3, brooke
Thank you so much for the instructions! My hair is terribly unruly and too long, but whenever I try the messy bun, it's a disaster! Hopefully the step by step will make a proper bunner out of me :)
Messy french buns are my go to for "day two" hair! They're a bit difficult to style if your hair is squeaky clean and they're a chic way to put off washing it!

Simply adore the french style.
I am planning a trip with my lovely french girls from work to Paris in January for the weekend. We will rent a fabulous apartment in Marais and will have foie gras on the Champs Elysee :) Can't wait!

This bun is my go to style when trying to make my wash last an extra day. It also is just perfect for effortless chic.
I wish I could get my hair to look like this! I am a bit hair challenged. I've been trying to decide on a new look though!
J'adore! Some days I manage to get the total French messy bun but other days, it's way too hard. It looks easy but it's not so simple to style a messy bun!
Totally wish I could pull this off without look like a hot mess!
